kinda scary. I'll throw some knee jerk reactions your way, just in case they help.

LUT cleared or in any way a complication?
QT components running in the background? (Maybe a restart before grading?)
Are you using an OSX created custom monitor profile? (disable?)
Does the kona card have any of the output LUT stuff enabled?
Does dis/enabling broadcast safe affect blacks?

Please post solution if/when available.
