Blacks lifting on output?
by walter biscardi on Aug 23, 2008 at 12:11:03 am

Anyone else running the absolute latest updates noticing that the blacks appear to be lifted and the overall image appearing brighter after it's rendered than when you're grading?

I've got 1080/23.98psf ProRes HQ running on an Octo Core with the ATI 2600 card. Everything looks good and dark in Color, but even when it's rendering, it appears the mids and blacks come up. The scopes looks good in FCP, but during playback areas that I'm sure I completely crushed in the blacks are visible again. And the overall image just appears lighter for some reason.

Anyone else noticing this change on output?
