Color 2K Workflow with AJA Kona 3 and Sony EX3

Hi,
Just wondering about what is the best workflow for best results with film shot on EX3,Edited on FCP with Kona card and grading with Color.
How to upgrade to 2K frame (2048 x 1556 ) because EX3 full raster HD frame size ie 1920x1080 ? Can it be done in Color or use Smoke etc.
