Ok......reviewing my post I guess I will clarify....

From what I can tell you can open an HDV sequence in color and grade it, but you must render out as either Pro Res or uncompressed - is this correct?

In other words, you should be able to successfully grade a native HDV sequence in Color as long as you render out as either PRO RES or uncompressed.
