The XML export generated out of COLOR is likely looking to reconnect to something with the path structure: Volume/Project Folder/Render Folder/Clip Folder/ClipN_gX.mov. If all the rendered QT movie clips have been stripped out of their safe little clip folders, then there is a piece of the address missing, and there will probably be file type mismatches, for sure if it was transcoded into uncompressed or ProRes, but probably suffers from clip length mismatches. That will occur with speed change clips, for example.
The best method that I have found is to Media Manage the project out from the resident FCP seat that the COLOR project was done on. Then its only a click away for the receiver.
