HDV vs Pro Res for colour

Hello all,
We are planning for a multi episode grade of a show shot on HDV using two Sony Z1's.
Outcome is 1050i HDCAM.
It is in the editors system on a timeline in HDV10850i. It was ingested firewire so that is as raw and native as it gets - right??
Is it worth re ingesting using a VTR with HDSDI @ Pro Res HQ to give me more latitude in colour? Or am I overdoing it. Is there such a VTR??
The footage is well shot and shouldn,t need heavy shifts.
Best
