It may not be broken... pulled up a project today that I had conform control over, and kept the thing totally in DVCProHD. Render "Original Format" has re-appeared as an option for that project, so probably something mysterious in the external job that won't allow it. Maybe first clip is something not recognized AND is hidden in the XML handoff...
