FCP 6.0.3 and Render to Original

Seems like COLOR locks out "Render to Original Format" and forces Uncompressed or ProRes if you Send To...
I haven't tried an XML out yet... but beware. Seems like a little surprise hidden in the upgrade, or does anyone have a way back and forth in DVCProHD under 6.0.3?
I know a lot of folks here are still on 6.0.2 (which does not have this issue) and I had no indication going back to DVCProHD was going to be a problem up until this morning and having a 6.0.3 project handed to me with no other way of opening it. Seems like throwing out the baby with the bathwater only to accommodate a couple more XDCam codecs, which has absolutely nothing to do with this particular project.
