Chad,
Hmm, this is interesting. I have now examined the footage side by side in quite some detail and have to conclude that it has not disregarded half of the resolution. Admittedly the source footage is a wee bit soft, mostly because of motion blur, and therefore not the best material to verify this. I have encountered the phenomenon you describe in the past with PAL SD footage, this was 720P25 dvcpro HD that is rendered to ProResHQ in color, and when i've manually changed something in the Geometry room. In my case now i did not change manually anything there, the rotation tab was imported as metadata from the fcp sequence. Not saying this is the reason, but it could have something to do with it. Will have to double check with some super sharp stuff but i would have to be pretty blind and the footage very very soft for not to show half the lines being doubled...
