No answers for you, just some ideas...

They can't over-ride the header info on the inferno?

You could export to cin instead. (I know it works in After Effects at least.)

You could try importing your final sequence back into color, and in the settings2 tab (lower right) you could overwrite the header info there and re-render. (not sure if practical).

You could use gluetools to override the header and (possibly) re-render.
