I came up with a workaround.

1. Import 25 fps edl as cutlist with QT fil as source media.
The color project is now created perfectly.

2. Export an EDL from the new color project.

3. Import that EDL as a cut list with the DPX sequence as source material.

VIOLA!

Looks like Color is'nt too happy to work with 25 fps projects based on DPX files.
