If it's helpful there is a lot of info on LUTs, Cubes and calibration on the Digital Praxis website.

There are even free 3D LUTs available for download that do a faitly good job of calibrating a REC 709 display device to film print stock based on 'average' print profiles.

These have been used with a lot of success by many different DI houses.
