Thank you for these advices Walter!

Just to clarify: I don't believe that I'll be doing that much 2K work to begin with anyway, but I'm just researching a solution that would enable me to play around with it if such footage should come my way... But if that means a poor solution it may be best, as you suggested, to focus on HD for the time being and then move up to 2K later.
