Problems sending out a DVCPro sequence to Color 1.01
by Ben Insler on Jul 26, 2007 at 9:07:11 pm

We are running into 2 problems when we bring a DVCPro HD 29.97 sequence from FCP 6.01 to Color 1.01.

The first problem is when the sequence opens in Color there are missing clips. There are now gaps where these clips are supposed to be. We double checked the FCP timeline and there are no speed changes, filters, or any other attribute changes on these clips. We also tried moving these clips to a different video track (they were all on the first video track) and still no good. This is a 3 camera shoot and it seems like all the B and C footage is missing. And to make it even more confusing when we bounce the Color project back to FCP those clips are back.

The second problem is that when we open the sequence in Color some of the clips are now anamorphic. In FCP they have the correct aspect ratio and settings for a DVCPro HD sequence.

We don't know if these problems are related but any help would be great. Thanks.

-Ben
