You should use the Kona card or any other Video Capture card for display to a BVM. If you are working with 2K files then you will need to creat 1K proxy files to have any kind of decent playback in Color. The best viewing you can have is with AJA putting a QT wrapper around the DPX files then you can view the rendered files playing back out of FCP. But while you are in color you will need to create Proxy files.
