1.01 Pal colour shift to output monitor
by Grantly on Jul 24, 2007 at 5:03:42 am

Since updating to Color 1.01 on 2 systems we have found a new bug. (running Kona 3 and Kona 2 respectively).

The colour output to the broadcast monitor has additional red pumped into it creating the look of a 2 strip grade. On skin tones they go a good 25% more red/pink.

This seems limited to the broadcast monitor output in the PAL range (any of the 625 settings, 8-bit, 10-bit). If you change your output to an NTSC or HD output it seems to translate correctly.

The viewer on the computer monitor is fine, seems to be limited to the broadcast output.

I'm guessing unless there is known fix we have to rollback the upgrade which should a mountain of fun.

Anyone else found this and/or a solution?
