This suggests that your GPU implementation is not 100% compatible, and you may want to explore the use of a second monitor if your laptop supports it. COLOR does have a minimum screen resolution requirement.

Typically, COLOR is set up to extinguish the scopes in "play" to assist with achieving framerate. There are a number of options in the User Setup pages.

Monochrome scopes not a factor.
