Alexandre Brandtpreparing to go to Color form FCP

Hello all,

I had a small question concerning the preparation of the timeline in FCP to go to color.
I know that a timeline has to be prepared and some shots with some effects have to be "backed" in before sending the timeline into color but I'm not sure what effects requires that protocol.

I have a 10 min project in ProRes 422HQ with shots where we put some effects on them in FCP.
The effects are:
- color corrector 3 way (which becomes the primary in Apple Color)
- speed (I know it requires to be backed in)
- Levels (gamma)
- colorize

My question is: Do I have to back in the shots with effects of levels and colorize ? The levels I used to create flash backs effects with the gamma setting.

I know that color correction is usually done last but for the levels effect that I use as flash back, would I be able to take it off, color correct in color send the timeline back to FCP and reapply the effect without having a screw up after ?

Thanks for suggestions !
