Sorry I'm a bit late in replying to this post. I wanted to clarify a couple of things:

First, we intend to support Color with the Element panels. In fact we showed the Element panels on Color at IBC last year. We haven't released the Color plugin to enable this yet mainly as we've been waiting to finish and release the new version of our Mapping app. We are not abandoning our support of Color.

Second, as Walter already clarified, Resolve 8.2 now supports the Element panels

Hopefully the next few months will see even more support for the Element panels so it's worth checking the Tangent Wave website from time to time to see what's new.
