the preferences are user based not project based. That is one of the nice things about color, is all your grades and stills are associated to the user and the drive they live on so that no matter what project you open all or you settings and grades are there. This is one of the nice difference compared to the DaVinci where all your grades are associated to the project.

So if you have multiple colorists that each have their own settings then you need to create multiple users on the computer.
