yet another way to achieve the look.
Don't color correct the inside and outside of the vignette. Just the inside.
Start with the 3 tab in your secondary. Darken the whole image. go back to tab number 1 and create your vignette with tracking and brighten inside the vignette only. Then go to tab 2 and brighten and track vignette 2 inside only. This will achieve the look you are going for. If you darken the whole image in tab number 1 then you have crushed the color and now if you do the vignette on tab 2 and 3 you are trying to brighten an image with limited color space. Remember everything works down the chain. Primary to secondary tab1 to secondary tab2 and so on. So if you clip or crush an image in the Primary room you create a mess for yourself in the secondary room. Same goes if you create an extreme look on tab 1 in the secondary room then it limits your options later on.
I usually start my secondaries on tab 3 so that I have room to go back and make some fixes. For example if I blow out the sun through a window on tab 1 I can't create a key to bring it down in tab 2. But If I bring the window down in tab 1 while there is still information there then I can brighten everything on tab 2 and not kill the window.
