Jay MoffatJL Cooper Eclipse with Ethernet Software v2.1
by on Feb 26, 2011 at 7:11:04 pm

As Apple Color's 1.5 support for the Eclipse seems to be broken, it works after a fashion, but not really very well, I'm trying to use the Ethernet Software and Plugin supplied by JL Cooper...

Is there anyone out there who has successfully used this setup? I can connect to the the Ethernet software with minimal issues, but getting Color to talk with their plugin is a nightmare. It installs it into the root 'Library>Application Support>Color>Plugins' folder, which is not where they say it should go, and therefore does not work, although does recognize the plugin's existence, so I change the location to 'Users>My Account>Library>Application Support>Color>Plugins' and it works once, until I shut down and open up Color...then it no longer works...although again, recognizes it's there..

Anyone else having a similar experience?

I'm on OS X 10.6.2 and have tried what must be 15 or more combinations, but the only fix is to use their uninstaller and re-install all if it again, but was does worry me, is that the preferences seem to be remembered, despite not finding anything JL Cooper related after the uninstall...

Ta very much

J
