This is all correct... I know that what I plan on doing is not ideal at all. I know what a good solution would look like (I used to work as a sales advisor for "editing systems" (including hardware from black magic design, AJA etc.)). Right now, I'm just looking for the best monitor possible that $300-400 can buy. It's just for my personal projects that I'm editing and grading on an old MacBook Pro. I have access to a lustre suite pretty much anytime in case I need "the big guns"...
