COLOR all clips offline: won't reconnect

I tried to click control G to look at my before/afters on a clip and accidentally clicked some other hot key which brought up/ changed my arrow cursor into an icon that looked like a reel with a red x through it. Then all hell broke loose. My primaries interface changed slightly also- basically no lines to make adjustments in the curves and no crosshairs on my shadows/midtones/highlights.
Then I unlocked the tracks and everything went offline. Now I can't reconnect the media. What is going on? How do I fix this?
