Apparently very few of you either experienced or remember the profound revolution in room rates that occurred when Apple introduced their "free" grading solution, which was the former Silicon Color "Final Touch", which became known as "Color". Heard of it?

Software price hardly means anything. Sure, if its a $120,000 seat of Baselight, that does add a little to the overhead... but its only another component of everything else that makes up a room rate.

Go ahead with this argument if you really want to make sure that there is no business model for professional grade work.
