Just finished out a new finishing suite. Thought I would share. It has two mac pros. One dedicated to Autodesk smoke, another with FCS/Adobe everything/general mac stuff. Tablet and Tangent wave panel. Blackmagic ultrascope as well. Mini fridge for goodies. The couch reclines for those long sessions.
Both machines share Cal Digit Storage with 10G ethernet. It works like final share, only with 400MB per second. Everything is editing/ composited on the smoke and exported to Color as dpx frames. Then once color correction is done, I render out dpx and soft import those back into the smoke.
The lighting is all cinequest ideal lumes. 18 percent gray walls. 5.1 surround playback.
