I meant useless in the context of what I had discussed before. I understand what a keyer is, how it works, I too come from a compositing background, I am not just randomly clicking on things and becoming immediately infuriated when I don't get a perfect matte. Certainly the keyer is not useless, otherwise I would not be complaining in the situations that it doesn't work as expected eg when working with native RED footage shot at high ISOs, tungsten balanced, or any other situation that diverges from the sweet spot of the RED's sensor.
