We all will be buying BM cards if they ever decide to add card-hardware acceleration to a DaVinci Lite.
But until then, I swear by AJA Kona cards. Never have or had a problem, a glitch, nor a card down. Over the last few years we've probably owned close to 10 Kona cards (all flavors) for the Mac.

Tech support as someone else mentioned is outstanding every time. The good thing is... with the Konas there's very little need to even call tech support.
