Hi Walter,
Thanks for your response. Yes, I've selected the correct Kona output from Color preferences (tried all of them actually). I spent several hours last night with the assumption that I was at fault (usually the case) and checked and double checked every possible setting until I came across this thread. It seems to be a problem with this particular machine with this particular graphics card.

Fortunately, I'm working on a clean install on a new drive, so I can go back to work on the older system.

I'm going to call Apple later and see what they have to say.
