You are comparing a $1800 panel to a $5400 (2006 pricing) panel times 4 if you want all 4 CP-200 panels.

Back in the FinalTouch days we talked with Tangent about a less costly panel. Tangents big concern was making a quality panel without the expensive parts used for the CP-100 and CP-200 panels. A tip of the hat to the guys in England because they accomplished what we were looking for.

Yes the Wave is made of plastic, but not as cheap as you describe.
The joyballs do not rattle and are very smooth making adjustments.
Sure if you pick it up and shake it the balls rattle. But in normal everyday use it is very effective and you can program the keys and knobs anyway you like. All the encoder adjustments are much smoother than the JLCooper Panels.

Some people feel the CP-200 Panels are great but want more programming in the panels that is currently not available for Color.

I currently use the Wave panel every day and am fully satisfied with its performance. As for when its going to break. If you bank on keys like a hammer I'm sure anything will break. It's like any piece of equipment, take care of it and it will last.

I have always been a big supporter of Tangent panels. They're panels are top quality and so are the people that work at Tangent.
