First off, so we're clear there are 2 gluetools products we're discussing here. I made the mistake once of accepting a phantom job and assuming my gluetools DPX license would cut it. You'll need the gluetools phantom license.

I had tried a workaround of using the free phantom software on a PC and exporting image sequences, but had no luck. The first issue was getting it to work at all, and the second issue was preserving the latitude of the footage.

As I recall the only practical options I found were to use GT phantom to import into FCP, then export into (AJA or Decklink) 10 bit log Quicktimes. Although in my case I just went to DPX, again via GT.

If there is a better way, I'd love to know about it.
