I don't know what it means, either, because it doesn't seem to make any difference whether its checked or not, at least for me.
As opposed to how it really didn't work in a couple of releases of Final Touch, where Force RBGB changed the gamma/ black point, and another version caused Quicktime to render garbage while showing a perfect Preview.
