So, nobody associated with your color correction knows how to set up an HD monitor to color bars? This is one of your problems. It came "pre-calibrated" when? And how? And did the "calibrator" really know how to set up a monitor?
If your monitor is not set up right, you will regret the results. You really need someone who knows how to set up the monitor to color bars and can do it every time the monitor is powered up.
