Alan OkeyColor is of little value if it's not used on a powerful system with the recommended graphics card, a proper broadcast monitor and an appropriate video I/O card like an AJA Kona. Apple doesn't include that stuff in the box. That's why Autodesk sells Flame, Smoke, etc. as turnkey systems, because without the proper hardware they could not guarantee adequate performance. Color might make more sense as a turnkey system than as just software.

Hey Alan, super good idea. Apple should include a Kona3 Card, an ATI Radeon HD 4870, a RAID system, and Omnitek scope and a Cinetal Monitor in the Final Cut Studio box. I mean if its only $1,299.00, I would buy it, Heck I'll buy 4. Apple is silly not too, they'll sell like hot cakes, and according to my calculations $1,299.00 is less than a $250,000 Flame system. So I would be saving a lot of money. Thats a savings of $248,701.00, but I still need to buy a high end computer. Hope my $248,701.00 savings is enough to buy a decent station.
