I am using ver. 1.07
All footage that I am applying effects to is captured DV-NTSC 29.97 via Firewire from DSR-40.
Sequence as-well is DV-NTSC easy set up, rendering in 8-bit YUV.
There is as-well an animated bumper on the head and tail of the sequence that is animation codec rendered in the timeline to DV-NTCS (no effects applied to either animation.)
I haven't tried changing the render setting to High Precision YUV. I'll give that a go tomorrow when I need to build another sequence with the effect. Nor have I tried since FCP 6.02 release yesterday.
I really really love the look of the effect and don't mind having to jump through a few hoops to get the "look" I've created using the effect! Only trouble is when time is not on my side and I have a live-to-air deadline hanging over my head and my system crashes every few minutes with the open tease stuck un-rendered in my box!!! Since replacing other glow effects with core-glow,, I simply cant go back!! the effect reacts to the footage I throw at it in just the right way (aside from the whole crashing thing
!!)
Fingers crossed it is an Apple issue solved by the last pro-ap. update! I'll let you know if I figure anything out..
