Xena LHe HD-SDI Stream Ingestion
by Dan Nichols on Oct 16, 2009 at 12:07:35 am

Hello,

I have built a capture/streaming box around a Xena LHe card (WinXP x64).

The card works perfectly in Machina at the highest supported capture rates, downconverts beautifully to SD without much added latency and even talks to Sony Vegas 9.0 (8 bit or 10 bit HD-SDI with embedded audio or no audio at all are the only options).

I'm seeking to use this card as an ingestion device for a series of FMLE (Flash Media Live Encoder) H.264/HE-AAC based concert webcasts for a major university. The card currently shows up in the input sources list of FMLE as AJA Xena-HD Video Capture and allows a variety of input resolutions and frame rates to be selected to no avail. No crossbar or options for the LHe are acessible/adjustable within FMLE.

Any advice for getting the HD-SDI signal into FMLE properly would be greatly appreciated.
