Problems getting HD-SDI Signal from HD Connect LE to Xena LH
by Jeron Coolman on Sep 22, 2009 at 7:24:22 pm

I can't seem to set up Machina properly to receive the 1920x1080i 29.96 signal from my HD Connect LE through the HD-SDI. This all used to work fine until I reformatted my machine and upgrade to Vista Ultimate 64 from XP Pro 32 bit.

Part of the problem is verifying if the HD Connect LE is actually sending the signal since the HD-SDI In on the AJA board is my only HD-SDI equipment. Can use a voltmeter on the cable to check if a signal is going though it? If so, what would I set it too. In other words, anyone have an inexpensive suggestion to verify if the HD-SDI connector on the HD Connect LE is outputting a signal?

I remember I've been confused with the proper setting in Machina before.

If I'm feeding the Xena a 1920x1080i 29.96 signal via HD-SDI. What should I set the Machina Capture and Playback settings to? I'm monitoring via an HD monitor out the component connections of the Xena. That works fine. I tested it with Premiere Pro and an HDV Xena project.
