MAC, PC, and P2 ???
by bluquill (Gregory Leno) on Oct 3, 2006 at 6:56:29 pm

I have a dual 2gig G5 and edit in Final Cut, but I am thinking of purchasing Ultra2 for a project because of the tracking and camera moves in Ultra's virtual sets.
However I am not sure if it would be best to go ahead and get a new iMac and go through "Bootcamp", or just buy a PC.
Will the lower end Intel iMacs handle Ultra2 through BootCamp? Are there any performace or other issues I should know about?

Also, I will be shooting with the Panasonic P2 camera to get into a 4:2:2 color space. What is the best way to get the P2 files into Ultra?

Thanks

Greg
