If the .mov files look good in Vegas and are not to big in file size, then your fine there. Yes the virtual sets are 4:3, but if you click on the little window where you load your virtual set,then click on the Pan & Zoom tab, check enable, highlight the #2 point and delete it, then while holding down the shift key, click in the graph on the right and drag down to zoom until the picture fills up the 16:9 window.
