Adobe OnLocation Control Recording with HPX 172

Hi,
I'm having problem in the 1394 Control Recording with Adobe OnLocation CS 4.0.2 running on Macbook pro 10.5.6


1) Setting HPX 172 1394 to OFF - the Camera and OnLocation RECORD!!!
2) Setting 1394 to EXT - Camera flashes message: external 1394 disconnected
3) Setting 1394 to BOTH - Camera and OnLocation record as per normal.

Basically I need the option 1394 to EXT because I only need to record to laptop only.
I can otherwise manually record by pressing the record button on Onlocation but the camera and laptop is quite a distance away.
