I bought an Intensity card but of course Media Composer won't capture from it since it isn't an Avid piece of hardware. Solution…use it as an excuse to finally add the Adobe family to my collection! Don’t get me wrong, Avid rocks, but I'm interested in a lot of the Adobe products, including OnLocation. I know that Premier will capture an HDMI stream from the Intensity so I'll assume that OnLocation will too. I'll let you know how it goes unless you already found a solution. My guess is that more and more you will see 1394 disappearing and HDMI popping up. I have a new Canon HF10 and it only has component and HDMI out.
A little off subject but I find myself rolling my eyes when my $4k Avid and $2k Adobe packages cant even touch my AVCHD files from the camera. I use the $100 Studio 11 program for that…sweet! Anywho, I'll post back on my experience with OnLocation and HDMI Intensity.
