Anthonydv rack help

I bought dv rack a while ago and havent used it on a shot yet,still bring a small tv to shoots. First what angle does the lcd have to be to get a proper viewing every way I move it the picture looks different. Also what books do you recommend to learn to use the scopes. I wish someone would make a training dvd for it.
