PremProCS3 OnLocation time lapse feature

New to this great Adobe version of Rack. All works well with laptop WinXP and DV except I can't figure out the frequency tables. I have tried many settings, get one or two frames, then timer on DVR runs for minutes with no other captures.
How do I make better sense of the timing?
