The best solution I found is:
I beleive it works better then Squeeze, Procoder, Cleaner, and QuickTime Pro. It works a lot faster then all those programs and it's free. All you have to do is choose your settings and drag and drop. I've used it with Mpeg, AVI, QT, WMV and I'm sure more. The only problem is that you pretty much are on your own in terms of support. I've even used it to transcode 1-2 hour long high quality mpeg-2's with no problem. It also has a batch feature...give it a try.. it's free.
