Ultra Wide SCSI to USB 2.0 Converter
by Mike Healey on Nov 2, 2009 at 10:15:35 pm

Hey gang - Here's the situation... I've got a few old Kingston (4) drive RAID 0 silos with old footage sitting on them. I want to be able to move these silos to a new edit suite and have the ability to pull the footage off those SCSI drives and import into new projects. I'm not looking to edit using the old RAID's. Just pull archive footage off and import into new projects on the new Matrox system.

I've seen several USB and 1394 cable/adapter solutions but I'm wondering if a simple cable/adapter solution will do the trick.

Something similar to these:

I'm dealing with HD68 connectors so the second option above would require an 50>68 gender bender/adapter. Just looking for input to confirm a solution like this will work to transfer the data before I get too much deeper into this.

Thanks!

~Mike~
