I have a client that has the HD1700 (not 1800), the 1200A and the HD1400. There is no differernce in the picture quality. They bought the 1700 when the 1200 could not do an insert edit. Now that the 1400 can do an insert edit, they find no difference between the 1700 and 1400, and are simply going to sell the 1200's that they own.
