help with cheap/easy video editor
by dave papison on Feb 17, 2009 at 3:21:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to set up an electronic video production process for my job in high tech training. As the economy has it, budget is slim to none.

I need something that is somewhat easy to use (like camtasia editor) so folks can do thier own edits. The $50 Vegas editor is on my list as an option. The videos wil be embedded in PPT but, the option to output a PDA capable file would be nice....We have a couple licenses for Squeeze that I'll probably end up using for FLVs in the PPTs.

Our capture process is still being defined but, it looks like we'll be using a consumer level camera. Holywood is not our goal here, just simple 'chalk talk' videos much like the UPS commercial but, much, much more low budget....just a talking head explaining concepts, intro's and outro's -done.

Is there any other decents editors out there like Vegas that i should be considering?

Thanks for anything you can offer!
Dave

PS: MS movie maker just crashes all day so, that isn't an option....thx!
