The old school Revision3 intros like "Diggnation" and "Systm" have a lot of 3D graphics. They're quite complicated if you're just starting out. The newer stuff like "The Totally Rad Show" are much simpler, 2D composites which could be done by simply animating photoshop layers. It depends what you need. You didn't mention what kind of podcasts your company does. Get yourself a great concept and some kick-butt music and you'll be more than half way there I think.
