Graphic size for doing enhanced podcasts

Apple says that to use graphics in an enhanced podcast they should be 300x300 max. What size do you recommend?
We are exploring some educational uses (for higher ed) for enhansed podcast and we wanted to play around with a powerpoint type graphic for the chapters. But Have no idea what the best size to make the graphics would be.
Our inital pilot would be users with video ipods and the regular 30GB ipod.
Screen size is supposed to be 320 x 240 on these units.

I'd appreciate any insight anyone might be able to share!
