can you play a Video Podcast on a Nano or Shuffle?

we have created a video podcast in m4v mp4 and mov formats.

is it possible for viewers to download our podcast to their Nano or Shuffle and have it only play the audio file (since those dont play video)

or do we need to export an audio only mp3 version of our podcast as well?
